With the advent of digital phones, our work has significantly become easier. En number of apps have been launched to make life easier. We make online purchases, bookings, payments, courses, jobs and what not. Everything comes to our doorstep these days. If we are hungry, we can call Zomato. If we want to travel, we can call Uber. Apps are incredibly useful but we must be wise enough to choose the right ones. By right ones I mean, what is productive for us. If you choose a wrong app you could waste away your time.
Some money based apps like PayPal and googlepay makes online transactions easier.
Some education based apps like Udemy and Unacademy helps to learn online courses.
Some social media based apps like instagram and facebook connects people easily.
Some health based apps like Samsung health and Tata health-online doctor consultant, labs and clinics have made our lives much safeguarded.
Some business based apps like LinkedIn and Meesho has helped us to reach our dreams.
On the whole there are so much apps created for target audience based on their gender, age, education, work, lifestyle etc. I am going to give you a list of productivity apps which surrounds all the areas of life. I have used most of the apps I have listed below. Here we go...
Evernote:
When we think of productivity, what instantly comes to our mind is planning, organization, goal tracking etc. We have so much apps for to-do list and organisation. But Evernote is a kind of package where we can do everything from making a to do list to writing a journal. All your planning and scheduling will be bounded in this one useful app. I liked this app and came handy when I used to make blog posts for my blog.
Canva:
I love this app so much. It has been incredibly useful for making Pinterest pins for my blog. You can make all kind of social media posters, book covers, invitation cards, business cards, resume and so on. You start designing your own posters and pins without help from others or spend on experts.
Grammarly:
Though you may be very good at English still when you sit to write a newsletter or a post, you would automatically look out for mistakes and spend so much time editing it. That's where Grammarly comes in, it's a keyboard app, as you enable this keyboard and start typing it will automatically show your spelling, grammar and punctuation mistakes and help in modifying it. I have used it and it had helped me so much.
Period tracker :
Period tracker app is must have for women as it enables you to keep track of your periods. It would particularly be helpful for those having irregular periods. This app also helps in knowing your ovulation dates and when you get pregnant it can determine your delivery date too.
Byju's the learning app:
I have not used this app personally. But I saw good reviews for it, that's why decided to recommend it. It is an educational app consisting of syllabus from 1 to 12. There is so much practical teaching methods for students to understand.
Spotify:
Of course you would be wondering why I had listed a music app in it. Actually it's not only a music app but also has so much podcasts to listen to. We can listen to podcasts in all topics and languages. Podcasts enrich us with so much knowledge.
Microsoft office-word, excel, PowerPoint and more:
Microsoft office can be used in miniature version in our android phones. We are so used to PC version of it that this miniature version would seem so basic. But I have used it and it has been very useful.
Mindly(mind mapping):
If you have a project to work on, or you are writing a novel, Mindly would help you to organize your thoughts into a mind map structure. You could bring out what you visualize into this mind mapping. There are so much features which will help you to make a perfect mind map. I have not used it yet, but have decided to use it in near future.
Calm-meditate, sleep, relax:
This is a meditation and stress free app. This app also helps in mindfulness. Helps you in getting a good sleep. There are so much instruction based meditation audios which will guide you through meditation process. With time you will become stress free and confident.
Waterminder-water tracker and drink reminder app:
Water is essential for our health. But most of us take it for granted. We are more aware of our diet than water. Waterminder would help to keep track of the amount of water we consume during a day. That too pregnant women will surely benefit from it.
