Live in the moment:
Most people are struck up in the past or looking forward to the future, ignorant of the present moment. Nobody has time to admire the beauty of sunrise, chirping of birds, delicious aroma of homemade meals, fragrance of flowers nor the bustling world ahead. Here's where the mindful living comes in.When we live mindfully without worrying about our past setbacks, guilt, or loses, we will attain happiness irrespectively. Live in the present moment, enjoy the little things, live as the situation presents itself.
Setbacks of multitasking:
Multitasking has become a priority with so much workload in the go. Time has become crucial. In order to meet our deadlines, we are multitasking. But we are not aware of the setbacks of multitasking. When we multitask, we don't do justice to either of the work. We can never have the self satisfaction of doing work with sincerity.
Having mindful communication:
When we communicate with people, we are half present to what they are talking, half immersed in our own thoughts. Even when we are listening genuinely, we are eager about what we are going to reply, the points we are going to put forward. We are not mindful in our conversation. Being mindful in a conversation means genuinely listening to the conversation without wandering off into our own world or preparing for what to reply, and not to be judgemental before they even finish. But to listen and grasp the thoughts, be open to others perspective, be non judgemental and presenting your own views in a gentle manner.
Not to be self critical:
Most of the time, we are critical of ourselves. When we fail, we don't sympathise, but become critical and judgemental. So by living a mindful life, we will become non judgemental of ourselves and others. Human beings are prone to error, by doing mistakes only we learn, so don't be hard on yourself. Take it sportively, and attain success. Even when someone else makes mistakes, try to be gentle, instead of criticising them, try to motivate them and help them.
Becoming aware of things around us:
Mindful living helps us to become aware of things around us. When we were children, we were curious of everything, but reaching adulthood, we have become ignorant and have lost interest to learn new things. In this routine life, all we are curious about is about the gadgets we are addicted to. We have forgotten to watch the beauty of nature and have become ignorant of the little things that matter. When we start to live mindfully, we will start appreciating the beauty of rain, the radiance of moon, laughter of the children and so on.
